Brilliant Workshop: Lighting in the 20s
The lighting that surrounds us today has its roots in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century. This years summer workshop build pendent luminaries, small lustres and suspended lighting objects to understand the effect of light on the feeling of the space. To make sure that designing, thinking and trying out didn’t exhaust the mind a small swing dance workshop with music took the participants back to the atmosphere of the 20s and 30s and for sure was lots of fun.

Workshop Boisbuchet: Rhythm, Space + Movement – Lighting in the 20s
The lighting that surrounds us today has its roots in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century. Electric lighting took over the public realm and changed our daylight dependent rhythm. New lamp technologies popped up and architects and designers developed new luminaire designs. Today we experience something similar in the world of lighting: LEDs allow new design and shapes and once again change our feeling of light.
