BASICS OF LIGHT – KALININGRAD RUSIA
Basics of light – A workshop for lighting planners, architects, interior designers and urban planners.
An event of the Brandi Institute for Light and Design, Hamburg together with Andrey Derbenkov, Kaliningrad
in Kaliningrad, on November 10, 2018
lead by Ulrike Brandi, owner of Ulrike Brandi Licht and the Brandi Institute for Light and Design, Hamburg
The workshop teaches basic concepts of light, theoretically and in practical exercises. In addition to objectively measurable light values, the observation of light phenomena is essential for lighting designers and architects. How do surfaces reflect, how do materials transmit, how does atmosphere arise in rooms?
Ulrike Brandi demonstrated how LED light sources with corresponding lenses and reflectors enhance the lighting quality of Ulrike Brandi Lichts’ projects.
Two introductory lectures were accompanied by practical exercises and teaching material for the participants.
